Northampton Environmental Group

Do you want to be a part of the Northampton Environmental Group?

The NEG (Northampton Environmental Group) is undertaking practical environmental projects in the area. Projects include cleaning up a reserve along Nokanena Brook and rubbish collection days. The NEG are hoping to have families and schools involved in their projects and they are seeking financial membership to help fund projects etc.

Meetings will be held monthly on the first Wed of the month commencing at 5:30pm at the Northampton Shire Council Chambers.

Northampton Freecycle WA Group

We now have our own Freecycle ™ group here in Northampton, this group cover the whole Shire of Northampton. It's a grassroots and entirely nonprofit movement of people who are giving (getting) stuff for free in their own towns. It's all about reuse and keeping good stuff out of landfills. Each local group is moderated by a local volunteer and membership is free. By using what we already have on this earth, we reduce consumerism, manufacture fewer goods, and lessen the impact on the earth. Another benefit of Freecycle is that it encourages us to get rid of items that we no longer need and promote community involvement in the process.
