Rangers

Sam Smith is the Senior Ranger and is based in Northampton. Zolton Fabo is the Full Time Ranger based in Kalbarri. Should you wish to report stray dogs or wish to discuss any issues regarding dogs or control of other animals the rangers can be contacted via the Northampton or Kalbarri Office or after hours as follows:

Sterilisation Subsidies

Council has in place a subsidy scheme in relation to the sterilization of dogs and cats. Under the scheme the owner of a dog (the dog must be registered) or cat is eligible for a concession of $20.00 off the cost of sterilization of the animal. The concession will be payable direct to the vet performing the procedure. For further information please contact the office prior to visiting the vet.

Cats

Cats are not controlled by any form of legislation. As such the power of Council with regard to controlling cats is limited. However a cat trap can be hired for a small fee and deposit from the Council offices.
