Shire of Northampton Administration

The administration offices at Northampton and Kalbarri are remaining open at this stage, however significant measures have been taken to enhance hygiene and social distancing.  Please observe the measures and stay behind the yellow line.

Department of Transport

The Northampton Office is a Department of Transport Agency.  We are reducing our risk of exposure to COVID 19 by reducing our hours of staff and doing shift rotations.  Therefore there will only be a staff member able to facilitate your DOT needs every second week.

The next shift Sonya will be available is Monday 6th April - Thursday 9th April 2020.

Please note that many transactions can be done online via DOT Direct, registrations can also be paid at the Post Office and Geraldton Office is always open as well.  Sorry for any inconveniences this may cause.

Use EFTPOS & Online Payment Facilities where possible

The Federal Government advises that social distancing measures are best introduced at the earliest stages of community transmission.  Therefore, the Shire encourages all residents to exercise personal responsibility for these precautionary measures.  To assist our team of staff, who are responsible for ensuring many essential services are available to our community, we are strongly encouraging:

1.  The use of EFTPOS and online payment facilities where possible; and

2.  The electronic submission of paper documentation

Library Closure

Please be advised that the Shire of Northampton's Library is CLOSED.  We understand this is an important service for our community but this is considered a necessary step to help reduce the spread of COVID - 19.  However , if you are a member of the State Library you can still access a large range of free materials/eResources from home through the State Library website if you are a current member of the State Library.  STATE LIBRARY MEMBERS can:
