The Shire of Northampton encompasses the popular tourist destinations of Horrocks, Port Gregory, Kalbarri and Northampton. The Shire is extremely diverse from the coastal lifestyle of Kalbarri to the heritage trails through Northampton. Tourism is a growing industry within the Shire of Northampton and one that receives support from the Northampton Shire Council.

The Shire of Northampton is bounded by the Chapman Valley, Shark Bay, Mullewa and Murchison Shires and the Indian Ocean.

    The Council Administration Centres in Northampton and Kalbarri will be closed for the period Thursday 25th December 2014 to Friday 2nd January 2015. Each office will be open as per normal operating hours on Monday 5th January 2015. We hope eveyone has a safe and joyous Christmas break.

    150 Year Anniversary of Northampton

    This year has marked the 150th Anniversary of the townsite of Northampton. A number of events have been held throughout the year, including a Commemorative event and unveiling of the Commemorative Wall, a community Concert featuring Slim Jim and the Phatts and other artists, timeline footpath plaques, laying of the time capsule, and several other community organised events and projects.
